ALMiG Compressors for vehicles (Buses, Trains, Machinery, ...)

All rail and road vehicles – from locomotives, carriages and regional trains to trams, buses and HGVs – need a reliable braking system. Such systems generally use compressed air, which is produced by screw compressors, or in rare cases, by piston compressors. These compressed air generators have to be developed specifically for the very special applications and installation conditions in these vehicles.

ALMiG enjoys success at Hannover-Fair 2011!

The major international trade fair Hannover Messe 2011 ran between April 4th - 8th 2011.

ALMiG had a stand of roughly 4300 square feet where it presented a number of piston and screw compressors, turbo compressors and other compressed air components to a national and international audience alongside solutions for the oil-free generation of compressed air. This was the first time that the company had attended the event as a complete provider in the oil-free compressed air sector, showcasing an impressive range of products with 2 – 3000 hp power ratings.

Technical highlights included:

• The oil-free, two-stage, dry-running screw compressor DUPLEXX (100 – 350 hp) which won the international HERMES AWARD 2011 technology prize in the TOP 20 category
• The product study for a spindle compressor which is a totally new kind of patented compression system for generating oil-free compressed air. The spindle compressor has the unique ability to compress air from atmospheric pressure to a final pressure of around 500psi in a single compressor airend with a twin shaft compressor block. The compression heat produced is effectively dissipated through internal cooling (inside the rotor).
• Compressed air systems to increase energy efficiency such as speed-controlled screw compressors, thermal recovery modules, the EBS measurement system and various special solutions for technically challenging customer applications.

The huge amount of work put in before the trade fair was more than justified by the great success of the event. Our huge popularity with visitors kept our stand team busy at all times, while also allowing them to generate a lot of new contacts, reinforce existing links and stimulate interest on the market for ALMiG and its products.

ALMiG is well on the way to becoming a leading, innovative provider of compressed air solutions both nationally and internationally.
